Metal fabrication Singapore: a piece of history that never stops

Manufacturing is when one thing is being manipulated to become something different. Unfortunately, the most common use of the word may have something to do with how the fact is so frequently "made" into something else. However, the most useful form of manufacturing has been, and most likely will still be, metal manufacturing.

It is believed that metal was found before people even wrote, and that it was first used to make primitive tools and weapons, such as arrowheads and spears. Since then, metal processing has come a long way to include metal bending, metal shaping, welding, laser cutting, and much more – extending its use well beyond weapons and simple tools.

Metal Manufacturing thorough History

As most high school students know, metal was first used for basic tools. You could imagine a primitive arrowhead or a spear attached to a rawhide with feathers – and as far as history can tell us, you wouldn't be too wrong. These ancient examples of metal manufacturing were found in caves and, for the most part, every metal manufacturing found was designed to be used. No primitive plasma cutting and metal manufacturing was performed for decorative purposes – only for survival. As far as we can say, these were the first relatives of modern, technologically sound, metal manufacturing that we see today.

The Value of Metal Manufacturing Services

Hundreds of thousands of years ago, manufactured metal parts enabled the ancient people to survive. Things aren't any different today. Stainless steel, iron, aluminum, copper, and more are all used to supply us with the goods we need every day, from car parts to metal processing for military use, and everything in between.

Forms of manufacturing of metal

Metal processing is carried out in a wide variety of industries and applications. Metal parts include everything from car parts, aircraft components, boat propellers, tanks, shark cages, arms, and much more.

Contract assembly: while not explicitly "metal manufacturing" contract assembly also requires some form of manufacturing. Contract assembly is for one customer engaged in production, machining or assembly work with an experienced supplier who has all the necessary machinery. The contract assembly company often typically organizes the distribution.

Metal bending and shaping: Metal bending is achieved with formed dies and mandrels to bend tubular parts without kinking them while rolling machines are used to form plate steel in a round section.

Plasma Cutting: Plasma Cutting is a metal processing technique that the ancient Homo sapiens would certainly have enjoyed. Plasma cutting uses a plasma torch to cut various thicknesses of metal with extreme precision. By means of a mixture of pressurized inert gas and electricity, metal manufacturers generate a high-powered stream of pressure capable of melting metal and simultaneously blowing it away until it can dry out.

Welding: Slightly different from plasma cutting, welding can use a range of energy sources – including heat, electricity, friction, and even ultrasound.
